Hot Rolled
Hot rolling is a mill process which rolls the steel at a really high temperature allowing wider tolerances and lower costs. Commonly used for construction, welding and other projects that don’t require perfect finishes and surfaces.
Cold Rolled
Cold rolled is initially hot rolled material. Once it cools, the steel is annealed or temper rolled which tightens the material making it stronger. Cold rolled is uncoated and meant to rust.
